Rehana Yaqoob

Roles and responsibilities: Providing orthodontic treatment to children and adults

Mrs Rehana Yaqoob qualified from the Royal Dental Hospital, London in 1982 and held post in Oral Surgery, Children’s and Restorative dentistry in London teaching hospitals. Rehana then completed her 3 years specialist orthodontic training at the Eastman Dental Hospital where she gained her MSc and MOrth. Her MSc thesis was on “Adult Orthodontics” and she has over 25 years’ experience in treating adult patients. Rehana is still passionate about creating beautiful smiles using the latest adult friendly braces. She takes great pride in delivering a high standard of care which is individually tailored for every patient. Rehana shares her enthusiasm for Orthodontics by teaching orthodontic nurses, therapists and assistants.

Haroon Khan

Roles and responsibilities: Since graduating, Dr Khan has worked in numerous positions in both general practice and hospital placements to further enhance his skills. He has been with Angle House since 2011 and although enjoys all aspects of dentistry he has a particular interest in Orthodontics.

I particularly enjoy being able to combine Orthodontic alignment with other aspects of dentistry such as tooth whitening or cosmetic restorations to help patients regain their confidence and improve their smile.

Hobbies: Playing football, travelling and DIY.

Juanita Paydar

Roles and responsibilities: I had a lot of Orthodontic treatment when I was a child. Rather than put me off, it made me more interested.

I love the cosmetic and creative aspect, and balancing that with the precision and detail of a scientific discipline.

I never could quite decide on the science or art route at school, but now I feel I can do both!

I like keeping my treatments comfortable and uncomplicated. I aim to deliver a perfect smile, as far as can be achieved. The aim is for people to smile more, and to be confident that when they do, others want to smile back too.

I completed both my dental training and masters in Orthodontics at Kings College London. Since qualifying I have gained additional certifications in lingual braces, and clear aligner systems. As an adjunct to creating smiles.

Away from work, I have studied fashion and portraiture photography, and qualified as a yoga teacher for both adults and children.

I hope to learn to sing one day too, if I can find a teacher patient enough to endure my efforts!

Hobbies: Yoga, kickboxing, photography and family

Pam graduated from King's College Hospital London and then worked as a Registrar in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. During this time, she gained her Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons. She then returned to King's to achieve a Master of Science degree and Membership in Orthodontics. She has been working with the Angle House group since 1997 and her main clinical interests and Children's orthodontic needs.

Hobbies: Baking with my children and theatre and cinema.

Joyti qualified from the University of Manchester in 2007 having been awarded first prize at the British Endodontic National Harty’s Endodontic Prize. She continued her postgraduate education as a Specialist at Birmingham Dental and Good Hope Hospital and was awarded, by examination, The Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England After 3 years of specialty training, Joyti passed the Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons (MOrth RCS) examination and in 2016, was awarded the FDS in Orthodontics which is internationally recognised as the highest College award in dentistry. In 2016, Joyti became Consultant Orthodontist at Medway and Maidstone NHS Hospital and since June 2017, took up the position of Consultant Orthodontist at East Surrey and Queen Mary’s /Barnet Hospital. Joyti has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of routine and complex orthodontic cases and has a particular interest in treating patients with jaw discrepancies such as, clefts and craniofacial anomalies. Joyti has presented at various national and international conferences and received the covetted BDA sponsored Chichester Cup Award in 2015 for her role in patient satisfaction with the mandibular advancement splints Joyti has presented to undergraduates and post graduates as well as written editorials for several scientific journals which been nationally acclaimed.

Joyti has worked at Queen Victoria Hospital which gave her the opportunity to treat patients suffering from sleep apnoea. She has treated patients diagnosed with mild and moderate sleep apnoea with sleep splints which patients find an acceptable alternative to sleep machines. She presented an audit on a national forum, looking at the acceptability of this splint as an alternative treatment modality and the department received a high degree of acceptability and success.

Outside of work, Joyti enjoys acting and belongs to a local drama school in South Kensington. She has a passion for adrenaline fuelled activities such as skydiving and abseiling and has completed 2 half marathons and a 10K in an elephant suit!

Cleaning and preparation of tooth surfaces ready for orthodontic treatment, taking impressions, seeing emergencies and making appliances safe in absence of an orthodontist.

Karen Heale

Nicola joined Angle House in 1993 and has limited her practice to Orthodontics since then. Nicola is married and has three grown-up sons and a granddaughter who manage to keep her fully occupied.

After graduating from Guy's Hospital Dental School in 1989, Deepti was honoured to go on to work in the Paedodontic & Orthodontic department at Guy's. After which she entered General Practice for 6 years and then went on to limit her practice to Orthodontics. She has been at Angle House since 1998 working at both the Edmonton and Enfield branches.In order to provide the highest quality of orthodontic care to her patients, Deepti continues her education through regular seminars and courses. She is especially interested in treating children with an anxious disposition. Over the past few years Deepti has been part of the interview panel that recruits undergraduate students to study Dentistry at Kings College Dental Institute.On a personal note, Deepti is the mother of 2, who immensely enjoys adventure travel, yoga, dancing and carries out regular voluntary community work.

Bina Saini

Bina Saini BDS FDS MSc MOrth qualified in dentistry from the London Hospital in 1996 and worked for 2 years in maxillofacial surgery. Prior to her orthodontic training, she also worked in the paediatric dental and orthodontic department of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Bina returned to university for a 3 year postgraduate course in orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital where she gained an MSc and qualified with the MOrth in 2003.

Since qualifying as an orthodontist, Bina has worked in specialist practices in North London and in Harley Street.

Bina is dedicated to providing a high level of personal and clinical care as orthodontic treatment has not only health but social and psychological benefits. She also maintains an active involvement in post graduate education and continuing professional development.

Bina is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and is a past orthodontic representative to the local dental committee.

I am committed to providing high quality orthodontics using a range of techniques for both children and adults including invisible braces such as Invisalign and Incognito. As a teenager, I was a patient of Angle House myself, and it was whilst undergoing treatment I decided I wanted to pursue a career as an orthodontist.

Outside work: I'm a mum with two small children who keep me busy! I enjoy keeping fit by swimming, running and playing netball and I love to travel.

Bina returned to university for a 3 year postgraduate course in orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital where she gained an MSc and qualified with the MOrth in 2003.

Since qualifying as an orthodontist, Bina has worked in specialist practices in North London and in Harley Street.

Bina is dedicated to providing a high level of personal and clinical care as orthodontic treatment has not only health but social and psychological benefits. She also maintains an active involvement in post graduate education and continuing professional development.

Bina is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and is a past orthodontic representative to the local dental committee.

Bina lives in North London with her husband and two children. She enjoys cooking, art and long muddy walks with her family.

Laura has worked at Angle House Orthodontics since 2012. As an Orthodontic Therapist, she works with a Orthodontist and carries out all aspects of orthodontic treatment including fitting, adjusting and removal of orthodontic appliances.

Laura's main interests are keeping fit, being a mother and travel. Her favourite holiday was a visit to Uganda to see wild gorillas.

Mrs Rehana Yaqoob qualified from the Royal Dental Hospital, London in 1982 and held post in Oral Surgery, Children’s and Restorative dentistry in London teaching hospitals. Rehana then completed her 3 years specialist orthodontic training at the Eastman Dental Hospital where she gained her MSc and MOrth. Her MSc thesis was on “Adult Orthodontics” and she has over 25 years’ experience in treating adult patients. Rehana is still passionate about creating beautiful smiles using the latest adult friendly braces. She takes great pride in delivering a high standard of care which is individually tailored for every patient. Rehana shares her enthusiasm for Orthodontics by teaching orthodontic nurses, therapists and assistants.

After graduating from Guy's Hospital Dental School in 1989, Deepti was honoured to go on to work in the Paedodontic & Orthodontic department at Guy's. After which she entered General Practice for 6 years and then went on to limit her practice to Orthodontics. She has been at Angle House since 1998 working at both the Edmonton and Enfield branches.In order to provide the highest quality of orthodontic care to her patients, Deepti continues her education through regular seminars and courses. She is especially interested in treating children with an anxious disposition. Over the past few years Deepti has been part of the interview panel that recruits undergraduate students to study Dentistry at Kings College Dental Institute.On a personal note, Deepti is the mother of 2, who immensely enjoys adventure travel, yoga, dancing and carries out regular voluntary community work.

Rachel graduated in 2007 with a degree in Dentistry after 5 years of training at Bristol University. She then worked as part of specialist Maxillo-Facial & Oral Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry teams at Great Ormond Street, UCH and The Royal London Hospitals. During this time she continued 5 more years of specialist post graduate training at The Royal London Hospital. She gained a diploma in dental surgery and a Masters in Science in Orthodontics, leading to being invited to join The Royal College of Surgeons England. Her orthodontic research has won the British Orthodontic Society Hawley Russell research prize and she has presented at both The European and British Orthodontic Society Conferences.

Rachel now works in NHS and Private specialist orthodontic practice and continues to work at the Royal London Hospital. She enjoys using the latest aesthetic techniques including clear braces, Invisalign and Lingual (invisible) braces. She is a member of The British and European Orthodontic Society’s and is on the specialist list at The Royal College of Surgeons.
