We are a Dental Practice limited to
Orthodontics for children and adults.
Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that
specialises in the diagnosis, prevention and
treatment of dental and facial
irregularities.
Orthodontic treatment is generally
undertaken for children, however
Orthodontics can be successful at any age
and an increasing number of Orthodontic
patients are adults.
Your family dentist will generally advise
you when a child needs to see an
Orthodontist, however, as a general rule we
recommend an initial consultation between
the age of 8-10 yrs if an Orthodontic
problem is detected.
Orthodontic treatment is undertaken with
custom made appliances which are
prescribed and designed according to the
problem being treated.
During Orthodontic treatment it is
essential to continue routine dental
checkups with your family dentist.
Adult patients are only accepted
independent of the NHS, but children under
the age of 18yrs can routinely be seen on
the NHS.
